the fxg rip was 100 megs larger, and you can see it in the sharpness... however the colour in the aXXo version is much nicer in my opinion... and thats why I will always choose his first. When the movie is rolling, the pixels wont show, but colour, contrast, hue and saturation always will.

I understand that not everybody can download both copies to compare them, and like you, I am suggesting what is in my opinion the higher quality download.

You point out that the releases from FXG have higher bit rates and sample rates. I don't deny that FXG often will be a higher resolution, with a higher bit rate.

That screen shot I took was from a random point in a movie that I had happened to download both copies for.

My opinion, and this is based on many movies from aXXo, FXG, FQM or whoever the other one is (I dont remember what KLAXXON is like, i dont think i ever downloaded his) The black will always look more like a true black in an aXXo rip. You see fewer artifacts in the aXXo rips because of his ability to get rips with such amazing colour saturation. A lot of times these movies really show their weaknesses when there is a monochromatic or dark scene. aXXo movies always stay true.

So again, for all you people who cannot download more than one copy: I would suggest getting the aXXo version, not because it is higher resolution, but because it simply looks better. The plus side is you get to download a smaller file :D

I had compard screenshots of sum movie i dont remembr right now and found FXG's releases to b better... so its a random story... colour saturation may be appreciable in aXXo's rip...
But at last.. its ur personal decision.... i dont disagree with you... all i did was posting the fileinfo from both the rippers... i dont think dat can b wrong !! and i sort of dislike monopoly in 2day's P2P scenario... ppl are so much blindly following (respected) aXXo that many times FAKE torrents go po **** td with peers....

Its not alwaz about the smaller size....
In that sense do hav a luk at x264/H.264 format releases from secretmyth,NewArtRiot,NhaNc3,Blueman,KingBen etc n you will surely forget aXXo....
its just that this format is uncompatible with DivX/XviD DVD players....

n my opinion is that:

I agree that the x/h264 rips which are usually 720p are really high quality, but they are in a class of their own. They are always over 1gig in size, and some times up to 8 gigs.

Also, fake torrents don't apply here when we look at verified releases and make sure to check aXXo's name is in red on mininova.

Keep in mind, I don't take issue with you posting the nfo of each torrent, but when you added additional comments like

I just felt I needed to raise the issue that it isn't always bitrate and resolution when looking at the quality of the 700/800 meg releases. So I posted what I found to be true based on my viewing of the different rippers on different mediums (from a 22" monitor to a 52" tv)


And yes, I know they are all on the same team. Competition is a good thing. It is how we avoid situations like microsoft, or telecommunications conglomerates. I like that I can look to FXG if aXXo hasn;t released somthing (like Religulous)

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I would like to know if the subtitles are required in order to follow the movie (for example, unable to follow the story line/plot without them)?

there are a couple scenes with spanish for one small bit in the movie. They are needed then, and only then (if you dont know spanish)

A private tracker can do whatever they want. Demonoid is probably the largest private tracker out there, and they have aXXo torrents.

Just because a tracker is private it does not mean by default that they will have higher quality download, faster downloads, or safer downloads. A lot of people don't understand this.

Up front..the solution I am suggesting does have a cost. If you can deal with the $24 euro price-tag for 3 months then read on.

I love torrentz.com and use them as my main tool. Once you find something you want, go to www.furk.net to "download it"

If you are "premium" member you can queue up the torrents you want, and once they are completed you are informed. You can then download via HTTP the file using a download manager(multi-thread = download at your full bandwith).

The site also has a cache, so for aXXo rips you will usualy find it already to go, just waiting for you to download.

For those screaming LEECHER!!! , the site also has a seeding feature, so i still ensure I 1:1 or better what i get them to collect for me.

Best of all - My IP does not appear in the torrent cloud,

Thats what trackers are for, you copy all trackers on this webpage then you add tracker on your torrent program and paste the copied trackers on the list and bingo you will d/l much faster depending on your bandwidth

Hopefully somebody has an answer for the problem I am having. In the last few weeks, I have downloaded 3 movies, pineapple express, high school musical 3 and now seven pounds which once converted, have audio sync issues ranging from a small delay to almost 2 seconds for seven pounds. The downloaded avi, when tested is ok but when I convert it using roxio media creator 7.5 divx to dvd utility and then view the dvd output, that is where the audio sync issue happens. I have converted other movies in between the ones with audio sync issues and those ones are fine. I even downloadad an fxg version of pineapple express but had the same issue.
I reboot and then close all unnecessary apps before converting.

Does anybody know of this issue. What I can do?

I have been downloading movies for years now, and I can honestly say that there is only a couple of uploaders/rippers that i trust. While I do like the brrips, they are just too big, too much data to store and burn, so I go with the dvdrips. Above all I trust aXXo, he has the best rips, the fastest downloads, and by far the most support, when it comes to dvdrips. Now I do use a high-speed cable connection, around 12megs, and I use bittorrent, ubt I have found that I can download 10 movies around a gig each, while having a cpl webpages up and play a high end game online, and still get all of the movies in around 20 minutes, 10 for most. All that I do is go into the settings, click on bandwith, set the global maximum number of connections to 99999999, and the maximum number of connected peers to 99999999, and it has never taken me over 30 mins to download anything, even when the seeds are only around 10. Most people that are new to p2p do not know this and that is the only reason that i say anything. As far as someone saying that this will not work in divx, that is not true, I use divx player every now and then and it works perfectly. For the most part though I windows media player, all you have to do is download the xvid codec and install it and you are good to go. a10 v10 great work like always aXXo I always know that you are the best when it comes to dvdrips.

O I forgot to put this, total download time for me (with 8 other movies going) 9 minutes, maximum download rate for me 1.9 mb/s average download rate for me 1.2 mb/s on this one movie.
