quiccfeet... are you shure its not a virus? Because my friend downloaded a torrent of Limewire 4.14.8 and it had an add-on virus. I dont know what one but it messed up his computer. So please tell me... are you shure its real? No add-ons?

This download is dangerous plus it is using the Denis Stalker Tracker which is being used by the Chaos Computer Club.

For people who do not know who the Chaos Computer Club are, search Google, you will find that they are an elite group of German hackers.

Peerguardian can protect you from the tracker, or better, don't even add the tracker, but this download is not safe anyway.

i d/l'd this 4 days ago and stuffed up my comp afta i installd it... took me acouple of days to get it bak up n runin avoidin data lost

This does contain a virus for sure. I grabbed the file out of curiosity and sure enough it does have a virus. Fortunately I have anti-vir by Avira it catches this sort of junk BEFORE my machine is in danger.

Everyone has a distorted view about LimeWire and P2P programs. YES there ARE viruses/trojans you can download from with inside limewire, however they are very easy to pick out because of their size and once you've picked them out, simply block the host and mark as junk. This is the latest version of LimeWire PRO and worth the download if your not a moron and understand what your downloading from with inside the program.

The results show wich this file its 3.13% unsafe.
The Heuristic Problem find by the Prevx1 V2 2007.09.20, is nothing more than a unnusual Temp/Install path, what give us a safe result.

The installation creats executable files at the Content.IE5 Cache folder.

Of course we can't consider it really safe at all!
Let me test it using Norton 360. When done, I will post the results.
