yea it works but you cant play on official warcraft servers without a cd-key which you only get from buying the game officially. So its kinda pointless

its not pointless. their are over 100 free servers out their... this torrent is outdated.. the current patch for this version is 1.12.1 .......... but yeah this game full works if you know HOW to play;)

You know what are you talking about? Blizzard didn't make ANY security on CDs because they know that unofficial servers sucks... But on the other hand you can download any patch you want and you won't have any problems with instalation.

amazing server! nice people who help you with quests, and it hardly crashes even though we have a big po **** tion. Also, to Fanax, download deamon tools here http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/download.php and then mount the .iso files using deamon tools. Also, go to wowstatus.net and download wow.fe, its MUCH better than the wow control panel. I downloaded this file and it works, im a lvl 34 pally right now, so don't worry about the file not working. :D

Just a question, is this game (WOW) only for Windows (since I see a bunch of .exe files...) I use a mac...

to danga294 more than likely is Mac supported however there is a burning crusade expansion pack listed below stating both win & mac(at the time) my guess is probably the patches could be an issue, but I'm still new gamewise on windows myself. as for everything else does anyone know what the minimum system specs are I only got 256 Ram on a 1ghz Pentium 3 with soon to be 90gb drivespace, maybe a weblink perhaps.

1. Download the torrent.

2. Install it.

3. Ignore the readme file in the torrent.

4. IMPORTANT: DO NOT SIGN IN (yet) or it will AUTOPATCH to 1.9

The game version you have is 1.6.4 (which is old)

5. You want a version thats either 1.8.0/1.8.2/1.8.4 (I personally recommend 1.8.0) so go to google and find the patch you want.

7. Go to www.wowstatus.net, download WoW-FE and Install.

8. Go to www.wowstatus.net/serverlist.php and pick a server that you like (I recommend XaosWoW)

When you look at the server list you will see the versions, so whatever patch you downloaded for that version, make sure both versions are the same.

Step 9. When you decide which server you like, click on the name and add it to your WoW-FE favorites (explained on the wowstatus.net website)

Step 10. FROM WoW-FE (NOT THE DESKTOP!) click on the server, hit register, register using IE (bla bla bla) then hit play, put in the username, password and help me fight these friggin hordes please."

4. A red icon will appear in your taskbar. Right click it and select ALL OPTIONS ON it should go from red to green

5. Right click on the green icon now and go to Device and select Mount Image> then browse for the torrent and mount World of Warcraft CD 1

6. The installation screen should pop up. Install the game and when it prompts you for DISC 2 / DISC 3 and DISC 4 leave the installation running and right click the green icon> Device> Mount Image and select Disc 2 /3 and so on. If you come up with a warning, just ignore it. ( dont click cancel, there should be an ignore or retry button )

most private servers dont run onthe new patch because we use emulators, if you want to use the newest patch you have to play on the official blizzard servers which cost money.

No need to download from here guys. World of warcraft itself is giving 10 days free trial. Go to www.worldofwarcratf.com then get it from there. U'll b able to download the game directly. Its fast. After installing it will start downloading the new patch 2.3.0. The go to www.wowstatus.net. Get the FE, Install it, then register. And from the wowstatus.net select the server. Put it to ur favourte list. AND START PLAYING THIS AWASOME GAME.
