If you're a fan of Tarantino this is a must. The ending is a bit...weird. I expected Kurt Russell's character 'Stuntman Mike' to do....more. He sounds like a hardcore kind of guy but he cries like a little ****
I was left wanting more, it didnt seem like a justifiable ending... I believe Tarantino may be losing his touch slightly, this film doesnt have the quirky quips like 'Pulp Fiction' or the pizazz of 'Jackie Brown'. Even still, you can still tell its a Tarantino, its been made well and has his trademark shooting angles. Its been filmed in a style which pays homage to the old grindhouse movies from the 1970's. This gives it a retro style look & feel. Watch out for the intentional mistakes and odd scene jumps/cuts.
They should really have realeased both movies simultaneously so that we have the authentic grindhouse experiance, fake trailers included. This is how it was released in the US, unfortunatley when it came over to the UK, we had to get the BBFC involved and they deemed the film too long and was cut into two films. All I want to know is what happens to the star-studded trailers in the full production? will we ever have the true grindhouse experiance? even when its released on DVD? Why does the UK always lose out?
I need to see how well "Planet Terror" is. i'm currently downloading it.
