Note: The app runs fine, but the patches mean that you need to mount the MDS file... which I can't do on a mac.

The MDS file is not required, the app runs without it. Though I haven't installed the patches yet - but there is no way I know of to open an MDS file on a Mac anyway.

I'm sorry, that should be

sudo -p
echo "127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com" >> /etc/hosts



or simply type

sudo pico /etc/hosts

type your password and add the line

127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com

then hit ctrl-o to save it.

Yeah, it works. You'll need to open Terminal, type this and hit enter:

echo "127.0.0.1 adobe.activate.com" >> /etc/hosts

It just modifies your hosts file to stop the activation from going through.
